Night Couture Café! Come
to the Sewing Lounge and get help with your project!
Many
people get started on their first sewing project and then stop because
it is too complicated or they simply don't understand the rules of
sewing. If you have unfinished projects lying around and need
some good information to get them finished then this is the session for
you. If you have one, bring your sewing machine, sewing kit and your
unfinished project and I will help you to get it completed.
There are a few machines available in house for your use, as well!

Sewing Bootcamp I - Shirts/Jackets This
class runs for 8 weeks and will help you to work with your sewing
machine, understand working with patterns and walk you through an
entire shirt or jacket project complete with collars, sleeves, cuffs
and buttonholes or a zipper. You will increase your sewing
prowess by taking this class and you will learn beautiful finishing
techniques!

Bootcamp II -
Pants (for
students
having
already
completed
the 8 Week Boot Camp or who have a demonstrated knowledge of sewing and
working with patterns)
This class will demonstrate all the fine points of pants making including proper fit, front fly openings, zippers, pockets and seam stitching. It is not necessary to purchase your fabric prior to the first class, but you will need a pants pattern based on your measurements. Contact me for more information! Pre-registration

of Fashion Sewing Workshops These one day classes break down the basic elements of garment construction into bite size pieces, making the classes more affordable and allowing you to choose the class the relates to skill sets you need to learn or refine. Also, purchase about 1/4 yard more of knit fabric than the pattern envelope calls for and be sure to pre-wash and dry before coming to class. | Corsetmaking
Class! (for students having already completed the 8 Week Boot Camp or who have a demonstrated knowledge of sewing and working with patterns) This class will cover every element of corsetmaking including fittings, proper fit, bonings, grommets and eyelets, lacings and tools. Cost of class includes kit fee which will be provided for you, which includes spiral steel bonings, grommets and grommet setting tools, corsetmaker's awl, lacings and inner coutil lining. You only need to supply your own outer fashion fabric. Do not purchase this before the first class as we will be talking about suitable fabrics for your corset. 4 weeks of 3 hour classes Saturday's, Noon - 3pm September 18th - October 9th Cost of Class: $425, includes corset making kit |

| Couture
Creations This class will cover common hand sewing, fabric manipulation and embellishment techniques used in haute couture creations. You will finish the class with a sample book, created by you, of all the techniques covered in class. This is a 4 hour class that will get you on the way to creating your own couture garments! Some materials and supplies and use of tools during class. I will provide fabric for your sample book, embroidery hoops & threads, beads, needles and thimbles (and teach you the proper use of a thimble and why you should use one). Please bring your own sewing machine, embroidery scissors and patterns or designs that interest you. October 28th 6-9pm Cost of Class: $50 |

Can Sew! A great Kids Camp for Spring Break Week or during Summer vacation! A one week camp, 2 hours each day. This class also allows for a Parent to attend and learn along with your child. You must bring your own sewing machine so that you and your child can learn the specifics of working with that machine, as each machine is slightly different. Seats are limited. Pre-registration is required. All registrations must be accompanied by an Emergency Release Form. One week of 2 hour classes. Mon - Fri, 10am - Noon Cost of Class: $150 per child, $75 per parent These sessions are now closed for 2010. |
